Job Summary
 

Accenture Strategy & Consulting is seeking an experienced Marketing Automation Manager to manage marketing automation platforms and programs, ensuring effective journey orchestration and campaign delivery.

The role serves as the internal subject matter expert on marketing automation, data integrations, and martech system connections — working collaboratively with IT and business stakeholders to deliver platform improvements, streamline production processes, and drive business value through automation.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead Marketing Automation Platform Management: Own the end-to-end operation and optimisation of marketing automation platforms (such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, or Braze), ensuring they are configured, connected, and running efficiently to support campaign and journey delivery.
  • Drive Journey Orchestration & Campaign Delivery: Design, build, and deliver automated customer journeys and marketing programs across channels; ensure the right messages reach the right customers at the right time.
  • Manage MarTech Integrations & Data Connections: Define, enhance, and maintain capability connections between the automation platform and data repositories; work with IT and architecture teams to scope and deliver solutions for new or enhanced integrations.
  • Evolve Automation Processes & Capability: Regularly review marketing automation solutions and dataflows to identify opportunities for greater efficiency; champion the adoption of new marketing technology as it is developed.
  • Consult on Technical Solutions & Strategy: Act as the internal subject matter expert on marketing automation; provide strategic and tactical problem-solving on platform capability, data connections, and martech architecture for business stakeholders.
  • Manage Stakeholder Engagement & Agency Partners: Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams (marketing, IT, operations, legal) and external agency partners; challenge partners to drive capability growth and plan future activity.
  • Lead & Develop the Team: Manage and mentor direct reports; foster a collaborative team environment, support skills development, and ensure delivery of the program of work.
  • Ensure Governance & Compliance: Embed compliance requirements into platform operations and business practices; ensure team adherence to company values, policies, and applicable external regulations.

Professional & Technical Skills

  • 6+ years of experience configuring marketing automation platforms in a client or consulting environment (e.g. Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Responsys, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery of complex CRM integration and implementation projects.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SQL, databases, APIs, and web services.
  • Strong development experience with AMPscript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience in IT/software solutions including design, configuration, and implementation.
  • Familiarity with tag management strategy for web and mobile platforms.
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies and complex system architectures.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with experience adapting communication for technical, business, and executive audiences.
  • Experience operating within complex environments using agile methodologies.
