Audemars Piguet
Le Brassus, Vaud, CH
Swiss luxury watch manufacturer founded in 1875 in Le Brassus, producing complicated haute horlogerie timepieces including the Royal Oak, minute repeaters, perpetual calendars and ultra-thin movements.
Founded in 1875 in Le Brassus, in the Vallée de Joux, Audemars Piguet is a Swiss manufacturer of highly complicated and aesthetically refined haute horlogerie timepieces. Nearly 150 years of continuous operation have made it one of the most prestigious luxury watch manufacturers in the world, and it remains the oldest fine watchmaking manufacture still in the hands of its founding families - never veering from independent ownership since its establishment.
The company's technical range spans mechanical watchmaking and horological complications, including minute repeaters, perpetual calendars and ultra-thin movements, areas it has pioneered alongside hand craftsmanship and watch design. Its products include the Royal Oak, introduced in 1972 and designed by Gérald Genta, whose octagonal bezel and integrated bracelet rank it among the most iconic watch designs in history, as well as minute repeater, perpetual calendar and ultra-thin movement timepieces.
Audemars Piguet combines centuries-old craftsmanship with innovation, with a stated aim of pushing the boundaries of horological complexity and aesthetic beauty. Work is carried out from its workshop in Le Brassus, its ancestral home, and reaches a global network of AP Houses and boutiques.
