About Blockbrain

For mid-sized companies, knowledge is the last real competitive lever. Yet knowledge gets stuck in tools and SharePoint folders — or disappears when experts leave. While IT is still planning, employees are already using ChatGPT and the like — without governance, and sensitive data is leaking out.

With the Knowledge Bots platform, Blockbrain creates what companies truly need: AI-powered knowledge management that is quick to implement, flexibly scales, and operates in a compliant manner. Teams use our GenAI building blocks to build tailored AI assistants, agents, and workflows in minutes — just like Lego.

  • Series A funded with strong growth momentum (10x product usage & 5x revenue in 2025)

  • Enterprise clients such as Roland Berger, Bosch, IONOS, and Harting from industries including manufacturing, finance, and legal — sectors with the highest security requirements

  • ISO 27001 certified, EU AI Act ready. Made in Germany.

Role & Impact

You are the technical bridge between Blockbrain and our customers. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you work directly in client environments, implement solutions, integrate our platform into existing systems, and make sure a signed deal turns into a working setup. This is not a support role. You write code, build integrations, and work closely with customer and engineering teams. In this junior role, you will learn quickly while taking real ownership for concrete deliverables and time-to-value from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy Blockbrain in customer environments: Support setup, configuration, go-live, and technical handover to customer teams.

  • Build customer-specific integrations: Develop connectors, API adapters, and small workflow extensions using our stack.

  • Help tune retrieval and agents: Support the adaptation of knowledge retrieval, vector indexes, reranking, and agent setups to customer use cases.

  • Support deployments and debugging: Assist with Kubernetes-based setups, Docker, ArgoCD, Terraform, and cloud integrations.

  • Work closely with customer engineering teams: Clarify technical questions directly and help ensure smooth adoption.

  • Surface product gaps: Document patterns, edge cases, and missing capabilities in a way that turns into clear backlog items for Product and Engineering.

  • Support workshops and technical sessions: Join discovery sessions, integration workshops, and architecture reviews and help make technical topics easy to understand.

  • Document your work clearly: Make sure your solutions are easy to follow for both customers and internal teams.

Expected AI Skills

  • Use Claude Code and Blockbrain agents to speed up integrations, debugging, and documentation.
  • Apply AI-powered workflows for code generation, test creation, and retrieval tuning.
  • Treat AI as a working tool to learn faster, deliver more efficiently, and provide practical feedback to Product.

We are not looking for AI researchers — we are looking for engineers who use AI as a real lever in their day-to-day work.

Your Profile

  • You bring first to several years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Full-Stack Development, implementation, or another client-facing technical role.

  • You feel at home in TypeScript and have a solid understanding of APIs, data flows, and modern web or backend architectures.

  • Python, REST APIs, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Docker, or Infrastructure as Code are familiar to you, ideally through hands-on work.

  • You approach problems in a hands-on way and move quickly from analysis to implementation.

  • You communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • You are structured, proactive, and organized, even when managing multiple customer projects in parallel.

  • You are comfortable working with customers and can explain technical topics in a way that makes sense to them.

  • You speak very good German and good English and have a technical degree or equivalent practical experience.
