Scout AI, founded in 2024 and headquartered in Silicon Valley with a center of excellence in Maine, is a frontier artificial intelligence lab focused on U.S. defense. The company develops the reasoning layer that transforms commander intent into coordinated autonomous action across the battlespace. Its work spans Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, autonomous warfare, multi-agent collaboration, robotics, and defense-oriented AI systems.

The company's flagship product, Fury, is the first defense-specific VLA foundation model designed for unmanned warfare. It enables human operators to command fleets of robots through natural language, allowing machines to sense, decide, and act as a unified force across air, land, sea, and space. Critically, Fury operates in communications and GPS-denied environments without reliance on external connectivity or cloud infrastructure, and it integrates with existing robotic systems through a platform-agnostic architecture. The round drew backing from Align Ventures, Draper Associates, Booz Allen Ventures, and Decisive Point.
