Onebrief builds AI-powered workflow software for military staffs, deployed on secure networks including SIPR and JWICS, to accelerate operational planning and command operations.
Onebrief builds AI-powered workflow software for military staffs, founded in 2019 to modernise operational planning and command operations. The Onebrief Platform is deployed on all networks, including SIPR and JWICS, and gives commanders a unified decision-making environment. Reported outcomes include workflow completion three times faster, roughly 20 hours of redundant work removed per staff officer each week, and a 70% reduction in planning cycle time. The software is used in support of three of the four largest operational plans worldwide.
The engineering problems are unusually demanding: AI and machine learning, workflow automation, operational planning software, command and control systems, simulation and modelling, and deployment across classified networks. The 2025 acquisition of Battle Road Digital brought simulation capabilities into the planning cycle itself. Work of this kind is rare in commercial software and is measured in consequential terms.
The company employs more than 350 people, is fully remote across 33 U.S. states, and has grown 120% year on year. It has raised $320 million and is valued at $2.15 billion. Clients include the Joint Staff and U.S. Combatant Commands.
The team pairs veterans from every branch of the armed forces with technologists from leading software companies; 45% of employees are veterans. The stated ambition is to build the operating system for modern command.
